Ed Barrie

Founder & Chief Product Officer

Ed Barrie is responsible for product strategy and capabilities. Ed engages with customers and partners to understand their challenges and needs and incorporates their feedback into the Treasury4 product roadmap. ...Prior to co-founding Treasury4, Ed spent six years at Tableau Software & Salesforce.com and was responsible for building their award-winning treasury organization, where Ed and his team earned the Treasury & Risk 2020 Alexander Hamilton award for Technology Excellence, Treasury Today 2018 Adam Smith Award for the category of Harnessing the Power of Technology as a result of driving advanced cash, payments and investment analytics as well as a 2019 Adam Smith Highly Commended Award for Best Card Solution. Ed spent six years at Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI) as Assistant Treasurer where his team earned the Treasury Today 2014 Adam Smith Award for Best Process Re-engineering Solution for their efforts in implementing world class treasury systems and processes. Prior to joining Itron, Ed spent seven years in Microsoft’s Global Treasury Department with responsibility for treasury systems, including the company’s SWIFT implementation and treasury operations. Ed earned a BA in Economics from Eastern Washington University.

Steve Helmbrecht oversees company strategy, business and financial operations. For four years, Steve was CEO of Lakeside Capital Group, a privately-held investment firm. ...From 2005 to 2014, Steve served as EVP and CFO of Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI), a leading global solutions provider creating, collecting and analyzing usage data for electricity, gas and water, with 8,000 employees and revenue of $2.5 billion. From 1993 to 2000, Steve was with SS&C Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSNC) a leading financial technology company, including over three years in London as SVP International, where he established the company’s international operations. Steve serves on the board of Washington Trust Bank and Gonzaga University Board of Regents. He has a BA in Accounting from the University of Washington and a Master of Taxation from the University of Denver.

Nathan Brown

Co-founder and Chief Financial Officer

Nathan Brown is responsible for strategic planning and risk management. Prior to co-founding Treasury4, Nathan spent 12 years at Itron, Inc. (NASDAQ: ITRI), ...where he served as Director of Global Commercial Financing Programs and Assistant Treasurer. He spearheaded the development of several important treasury innovations and was a member of the Itron treasury team that won a Treasury Today / Adam Smith Award in 2014.
He also managed the M&A valuation team responsible for advanced modeling of two key Itron acquisitions—Silver Spring Networks ($1.0b) and Comverge ($100m). Nathan was CFO at several early-stage companies and has also worked as a management consultant, accounting manager and business analyst. He has a BS in International Business from San Jose State University and an MBA in Finance from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.

George Zinn is a 24-year Microsoft veteran, including 17 years as Corporate Vice President and Treasurer. ...During his tenure, he oversaw more than $150 billion in corporate assets, led Microsoft to achieve its distinctive AAA credit rating and inaugural financing, and architected the company’s global risk management framework. He is also one of the few treasury leaders to earn the industry “Trifecta” of awards: the AFP Pinnacle Award, Treasury Today’s Adam Smith Award, and the Alexander Hamilton Award for Overall Excellence.
While at Microsoft, he launched a full digital-transformation roadmap on Azure—introducing machine-learning cash-flow forecasting, NLP chatbots, and Power BI self-service analytics—while managing 350+ subsidiaries, 1,000+ bank accounts, and a worldwide investment and foreign exchange portfolio. Today, at Treasury4, George applies that playbook to help finance teams modernize eBAM, cash visibility, intracompany loans, and credit management without a heavy IT lift. An entrepreneurial, collaborative leader, he also serves on the boards of the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation and the Washington State Investment Board, jointly stewarding $260 billion in public assets. George holds a B.A. in Economics & Environmental Studies from Bowdoin and an MBA in Finance from the University of Washington.

Greg Morris

Chief Technology Officer

Greg Morris began his career as a materials scientist with Exxon in the Gulf of Mexico before transitioning into derivatives and financial engineering. ...After a 20 year career with Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, and UBS, Greg built an energy company and sold it to Vitol, then spent a several years investing capital and helping manage risk at a NYC-based UHNW multi-family office, then set up and ran a bond-arbitrage hedge fund. Greg acquired the TreasuryGo fintech platform from Microsoft in 2019, and is now very pleased to be working with Treasury4 following T4’s pending acquisition of TreasuryGo. Greg graduated from the Management and Technology program at the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science Engineering (School of Engineering and Applied Science) and a bachelor’s degree in Finance (Wharton School of Business). Greg also earned an MBA from Tulane University while working for Exxon, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
